Not far from San Demetrio, one finds the small village of Villa Sant’ Angelo immersed in beautiful natural scenery and considered remarkable for the eighteenth century parish church, the old church of St. Michael the Archangel and the Church of Our Lady of Prate. The historic center is further enriched by the presence of some elegant palaces. In the nearby hamlet of Tussillo, a walled medieval town of great beauty, stands the fourteenth century church of St. Agatha, which features interior frescoes.
